All our native timbers are sourced in New Zealand from commercial and residential demolition sites. Please enquire if you have a demolition you would like us to assess.
Timber is harvested at the site of demolition and carefully packed into bundles avoiding damage where possible. It is then brought back to our yard where it is de-nailed and assessed as to its best use. For example, old 4” x 2” (imperial) framing timber is usually split and repurposed as 90mm x 19mm floorboards. The timber is then machined into floorboards. Timber will have the original nail holes and imperfections associated with its previous life. It always tells a story!
